AR-List Rules
AR-List Email Group Rules
1. Keep it positive. AR is a positive sport and so should the AR-List.
2. Be nice! Insults and slights have no place in this group.
3. Show maturity. Maturity is when you apply discipline to your own impulses.
4. When in doubt, don’t post the material that you think may be questionable.
5. Do not post or link to any abusive, obscene, vulgar, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned.
6. The use of this sight and email group is a privilege, not a right, which may be temporarily or permanently revoked by a moderator for any conduct unbecoming.
7. Commercial Posts will be limited to 2 per year with the exception of race announcements.
8. Contribute what you can to the great sport of Adventure Racing.
9. Have fun!
Posting Rules
1. All posts should be made in English.
2. Members should use an appropriate, descriptive subject lines when posting an email to the AR-List. This includes replying to an email coming from AR-List.com
3. Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users reprinting material without permission will receive a warning and their post will be removed.
4. Spam is not tolerated! This includes general advertisements for products, services, self promotion, etc. Commercial posts are limited to 2 per year and must be related to adventure racing. The exception to this rule is race announcements.
5. The staff or moderators at AR-List.com reserve the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to the staff and not users.
6. The above posting rules are applicable to all posting and email sent to AR-List.com
Policing
1. AR-List.com operates a three warning policy. Users will be warned a maximum of three times for any and all offences. If the need arises for a fourth warning a temporary or permanent ban will be put in place.
2. Arguing with the staff after having received a warning may lead to immediate additional warnings or a permanent ban.
2. Some violations may be subject to an immediate and permanent ban. Permanent bans are a last resort and thought is given before implementing them.
3. Any attempt to circumvent a temporary ban will lead to that ban being made permanent. Circumvention includes re-registering under a non-banned email address, changing IP addresses to evade an IP ban, registering a new email account to evade an email ban.
